Elon Musk's AI Company, xAI, unveiled the enhanced Grok-3 model, presenting a variant of the chatbot technology that the billionaire claims is the “smartest AI on Earth.”
The firm launched a new intelligent search engine known as Grok-3, naming it DeepSearch. DeepSearch is a chatbot that provides reasoning by communicating its process of interpreting a query and outlining its approach to the response. The demonstration revealed options for brainstorming, research, and data analysis.
“We’re launching a separate subscription called Super Grok for dedicated fans who want the most advanced capabilities and earliest access to new features. This is available for both the Grok app and our new website, grok.com,” said Elon Musk.
According to the company during a live stream on Monday, Grok-3 outperforms Alphabet Inc.’s Google Gemini, DeepSeek’s V3 model, Anthropic’s Claude, and OpenAI’s GPT-4o in math, science, and coding benchmarks. According to Musk, Grok-3 possesses “more than 10 times” the computational power of its earlier version and finished pre-training in early January, during a presentation with three engineers from xAI.
“If you’re looking for a more polished version, it might be worth waiting a week, but expect improvements every day. We’re also working on a voice interaction feature so you can have a conversational experience. I tried it earlier today, and it’s working pretty well, though it still needs some polish. The goal is to make it so you can talk to it just like you would a person. I think it’s going to be one of the best experiences with Grok3, but that should be about a week away,” Elon Musk added.
